Here’s a rough cut video featuring an intro by El Ben, our resident keyboard player, singer, beat master, and all around funny guy.
Our lead female vocalist that night was Bethany Tucker, the younger sister of McKendree Augustus (Tucker) and appears on his new cd, A View for Opened Eyes. McKendree is going to be a big deal. I guarantee it.
So yeah, I’ve been trying to figure out why I couldn’t import the video from the Panasonic mini-dv recorder I borrowed from El Ben to do the WC for the young adult service that meets at Saint Simons Community Church.
Turns out that my MacBook requires a firewire cable, not the usb cable I’ve been ready to set ablaze thinking that it was bad. I’ll be heading over to Fred McKinnon’s favorite pit of hell, Circuit City, to pick up a firewire cable, methinks.
For those that followed my WC’s that I did for Family Life Church last year, please stay tuned for further adventures of Musicians Who Consume Too Much Red Bull.
This is our latest Worship Confessional for July 14 and 15, 2007. Please don’t look for much substance in this video. Call it “Worship Confessional Lite” because world famous Gary Moore and I had little to say.
Soundwise, we could have mentioned how Gary’s bass has a buzz, which I think we’ll be fixing this week with a higher quality direct box. Plus, my tubes are shot in my Vox AC30. So, I’ll probably be rockin’ my Fender Stage 120 this weekend.
T.J. broke a cymbal Saturday night. He plays like Animal.
Pastor Andy’s mug is up on the screen at the same time as T.J.’s, which A/V Josh has started splitting, for that hay-look-at-me-I’m-praising-God-on-the-jumbotron effect. Some days, I wish we would use the pretty backgrounds like our friends at North Point Community Church, but alas, some think my face is better looking than pink paisley.
